Amy Jeanette has been working in the human service field since her time as an undergraduate student. She has worked with a variety of populations across the life span in a multitude of settings. This love of people led her to pursue a B.A. in Human Development and continued exploration in the healing arts. As part of her inner transformational work she found yoga, reiki and other alternative pathways for personal growth. This led her to incorporate her passion for art, movement, and music into her graduate work in the Expressive Art Therapies.
Amy earned an M.A. in Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. in 2002. She received her certification as a yoga instructor in 2008 from The International Sivananda Yoga Vendanta Center in Nassau, Bahamas and in Nov. 2015 she completed her Kundalini Yoga teacher training at Sat Nam Yoga Spa in Hurleyville, NY with teachers Hari Kaur and Gitanjali Valant. She is a Shiva Rae certified Yoga Trance Dance Instructor and a Karuna and Usui Reiki Master/ Teacher. In addition, Amy has recently become a certified Rose Alchemy Therapist and a Quantum Life Coach.
She has vast experience teaching yoga, leading trance dance and facilitating sound healing workshops at studios and retreat centers all over the eastern United States. She has taught many of these classes and workshops accompanied by live musicians, and uses a creative and holistic approach to help guide others in reaching their goals.
Amy currently teaches yoga and the expressive arts at The Center for Enhancing Abilities in Cedar Knolls, NJ and works with individuals teaching and guiding yoga, dance, meditation, expressive arts and life coaching.
